Normalisation is a database topic not specific to QlikView.

Try searching in Google for Normalization and you will find plenty of answers.

you might want to read around the subject of Database Normalisation and data redundancy as a starting point and then what denormalising means in BI. Its a massive subject so a search will give you lots of material to get you started.

In Qlikview, we are looking for a denormalised data model, often called a star schema and is the structure behind most data warehouses.

For QlikView and indeed BI in general, one generally wants a de-normalized data model usually as a star schema.
