What is CAL? Can anybody tell me in Detail.How we can assign it.

What is Named CAL and Document CAL?

Hi,

In Short; CAL means client access license.The CAL providing will happen through QMC.There are multiple ways to provide these CAL's. One of the way is if you have the publisher then DOCUMENTS---SOURCE DOCUMENTS--SELECT PARTICULAR REPORT--DISTRIBUTE---THEN PROVIDE THE USERS LIST INCLUDING DOMAIN.

The Major diff between Named and Doc cal is accessing of No.of applications.If you provide the DOC cal access then the particular user can see only that application.But if you provide the NAMED cal then the user can able to see multiple applications after providing the authorization to remaining applications.
