Qlik reporting sending blank reports

Qlik reporting tool in qlik cloud is sending blank reports . Data is not coming in reports , what to do ?

Hi! Please confirm that your app's data has been reloaded successfully. An incomplete or failed data load can result in missing data in reports.

Have you inspected your datasets for null or missing values? these can lead to blank sections in reports. I suggest to implement data validation steps to handle such cases.

Hi @Gk2611

We acknowledge that you have a problem, but we cannot help you as there is not enough detail.

I can say - "it works for me" so it is not an issue with the actual SaaS environmnet.

My bet is that you either:

have section access and did not plan for it when building your report
you are using filters incorectly
you are using variables which may be reset when report gets generated.

It is hard to say more than that as you would have to provide us with the details which would allow us to replicate the scenario you are using. Make sure you imagine us (and we are not there with you so we cannot see what you see) and provide us with the enough description allowing us to recreate your app and your report and your settings - then we may be able to help you more

Hi @diegozecchini , It is not solved yet , We have section access in our application . I have managed my recipents and group file according to the section access and this recipents and group uploaded successfully and after that all the steps also were succesfully finished . But when I generate the template the excel with use of excel qlik add in and then download the report from that template then the report is showing results successfully .But when the report task has been triggered It shows report is sent to mail . But when i check it in mail . Only column names are present and values are blank. For example : I Make template and just add only one column like (Country). In mail the report shows only column name country But values which should come like germany, india, china .They are not coming. I hope you understand the problem .

Hi @Gk2611

I assume following in this case:

All INTERNAL users you are trying to send reports to are part of the section access using the same email address as the one you are using in users for reporting.
Since you have no filters your app has no "Always one selected values" on fields applied - quick test is to check if there are any selections/hidden selections applied when you clear all selections! If there are any ALL those MUST be recreated as filters!

Special note regarding any external users and use of report owner credentials when generating such report to external users.

With that in mind:

does report/app owner have access to all data from that app?

Lastly - previewing report is using your credentials and your Qlik session to generate report which is very different to generating report from task.

Hi!
The issue you're describing seems related to Section Access and how it interacts with your report generation.

Ensure that the users or groups specified in your recipients' file have proper access rights in the Section Access table.
Check that the field mappings in your Section Access table match exactly with the field names and values in your data model. Any mismatch can result in blank data being displayed for restricted users.

Try to test the report as a section-restricted user
Simulate the task execution by logging in as one of the users restricted by Section Access.
Manually preview the data in the Qlik app for the same user. If the data is blank in the app, it will also be blank in the report.

You can also ensure that the fields used in your Excel template correspond to fields accessible to the recipients after Section Access restrictions are applied.
Use only the fields explicitly allowed by Section Access and avoid derived fields or complex expressions that might not evaluate correctly under restrictions.
