distribute alerts to groups or individual users

Hi,

Is it possible to limit the groups or the individuals a user can distribute his alerts to?

e.g. HR users can only distribute alerts to users of the same HR department, Finance users to other finance users, etc.

Hi, You have to manage many alerts here to distribute.

I mean using Alerting I suspect that it is possible but If you can create your script's and by passing the API's via alerting can give more value.. I think this will come very soon to restrict the users based on department.
