Ok. I managed to resolve this but I thought I shared what have I overlooked during my troubleshooting.

Two important things I assumed wrong when Qlik Reporting failed my template upload:

1. Level - I have created one sheet with all images that I want to use in the reporting and publish it before upload. when troubleshoot about missing OBJECT, I only assumed it refer to IMAGE object and forgot about the LEVEL object. Because I have used some field or table in a different sheet as LEVEL and forgot to publsih that sheet, thus, I have missing LEVEL object, instead of IMAGE object. - the error message is not telling me whether the object missing is IMAGE, LEVEL, VARIABLE or EXPRESSION, thus, I only look into all my IMAGE objects and try to troubleshoot there, which I can't find ay object is missing.

2. All Object Reference (LEVEL, IMAGE) in One Sheet - for Qlik Reporting, perhaps it's easier to collect all images, level that we want to use in one SHEET, just so that we will not lose track of it later. In this case, when publish to shared space, it will not be left out.

Just thought I share this. But still hope Qlik will improve its error message and Qlik Reporting Object Management logic to make things easier for us all.

Is there somewhere I can find out which object has been deleted in my app that I included in the Qlik Report template?

Qlik Reporting Service Team, pls:

1. Improve your error message - if object is detected missing, at least give us the Object ID. Give message like 'there is some object reference is not found in the app' did not give me anything to work on.

2. Improve your app logic - if we have deleted an object in app but used in template, and the Qlik Reporting should AUTOMATICALLY delete those objects for us and then highlight all the box with RED outline so that we can attend to it. Why keep those objects in the template library AND in the template, then failed us when we want to move it to production. Do you know how hard for us to resolve a simple problem like this? It can take day. Why punish us like this? I am surprised Qlik would deliver such inferior product like Qlik Reporting, tbh.

3. Do not implement Confused logic - the template work fine in my DEV app, but after I download the template and upload it to the publish app, it then said it has object missing. The quickest way for me to resolve this is to delete my old published app and republish a new version, but this is NOT best practice especially if the app is in PROD.
