    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.qlik.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/326879"&gt;@Manni_SM&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You may want to give us use case to better understand as to:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;why you need to do this in XLSX and Pixel Perfect template&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;the ways to do that in both tables are very different and depend on the use case&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;For excel - Can't you use native pivot table which will do this grouping for you?&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;A href="https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Reporting/Design/Excel/add-in-excel-native-tables.htm" target="_blank"&gt;https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Reporting/Design/Excel/add-in-excel-native-tables.htm&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;For excel -&amp;nbsp; you may as well use excel conditional formatting (excel based function to colour code cell values and borders in straight table to make it look like they are merged although they would not be&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;For excel - you may as well use levels to mimic similar layout&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;For pixel perfect - there is no native option - it is just a matter of creating data in data source (qlik app table) which then you can use in conditional formatting of the table (this is time consuming task) to create grouping lookalike view by managing borders display and font colour display. Below link gives you idea how to conditional format things in pixel perfect.
