SMTP authentication disabling by Microsoft a/o 10/1/22

We just received notification that the SMPT authentication used for our QLIK email distribution is being disabled as of Oct. 1, 2022. We need to update to Oauth 2.0 to continue email notifications.

What do we need to utilize going forward that utilizes this new authentication?

Update: Clarification that Basic Auth is being turned off for the following protocols: MAPI, RPC, Offline Address Book (OAB), Exchange Web Services (EWS), POP, IMAP, Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and Remote PowerShell.

So as per the update you are saying is not affecting SMTP, right?
