Cannot see the mapped content of a network shared drive on qlik sense hub data connection

Greetings Qlikkers,

We've recently installed QSEoW on a windows server and configuring the network drives the users will use as fileserver in the hub as data connection folders, but we couldn't see the content from Qlik. Locally, the server can reach the access and content to that shared network. We've look into several articles like this and tried to apply it to our case, but wouldn't work. https://qlikcrm.my.site.com/QlikHelpCenter/s/article/Cannot-use-mapped-network-drives-for-Qlik-Sense...

Any input would be very much appreciated.

Regards

I would recommend to check the following

  • is the configured path for your data connection correct. (Configuration issue)
  • Are you using UNC path when referring to the folder? Like this: `\\server_123\folder\path`. (Configuration issue)
  • Verify that you can access the path using a regular file explorer when logged on to the server (all servers) where Qlik Sense is installed.  (Network/Firewall issue)
  • Verify that the service account can access the files using a regular file explorer. (User rights issue)

Hello Vegar,

Thank you for your response.

We've effectively checked all the previous steps you've mentioned. Server can access the folder correctly and permissions for the service user is on full control and yet, nothing when trying to access from the data connection.

I see that you haven't received any additional responses here to your question.

If you've not solved this, then you contact support, or try the chat found at support.qlik.com. The chat bot is trained on a lot of Qlik support content so it may actually be able to help you, if not then it is possible to reach a real agent through that chat as well.
