We use both Matillion and Talend at our office. If I need to UPDATE (not insert or delete) a record in a Redshift table, its a "no-brainer" to use Matillion. Matillion is MUCH faster at updates than Talend. However, I like Talend and would like to see Matillion phased out. It's a tough sale to convince my IT professionals that we need to move to a slower technology.
Help me to understand why UPDATES are so slow! Does Matillion have the secret sauce that lubricates those records going in? What's going on?
