Hi,
I'm working on an app that will allow users to be able to export an entire sheet or an individual chart/table as printable pdf files. The feature used to work properly before, but now it seems bugged. Each time I try to use this feature, it gives me such a message 'An error occurred during export. Please try again'. And of course, when I try again it produces the same message anyway. It has been this way since yesterday, and the issue persisted right now.
Does anyone know what happens to my Qliksense? It seems to be affecting other apps as well, so I doubt it has to do with a change I made for the app I am working on. Moreover, I cannot seem to find the location of the log files for Qlik desktop, this does not help with the situation either, please let me know where the log files are located for this kind of export sheet errors if there are more details I can look up, thanks.
Hi @ol_dev
Is this only on this single application or does this happen on all the Apps?
What version of Desktop are you running?

It does not work on all apps, not just a single one. Also today it seems the issue changed, I am now able to export without the error message, but it produces blank pdf/image without any contents in it. Why is this happening? Is there a log file I can check what error is being logged there?
any 3rd party visualizations?
Yes we have a couple of third party visualizations, but usually they are just ignored in the downloaded sheet, they will not make the entire sheet blank.
might be worth taking them out and testing
I can confirm this is not caused by the existence of third party library, as I tried to export a sheet without third party visualizations and got same problem with blank pdf. The export functionality was working properly before even with third party visualizations anyway.
Hi @ol_dev
The log files are here
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Log

What is the log file I should look into? I checked the engine folder and checked the log files for System_Engine, Performance_Engine, and QixCounter_Engine files and could not find any useful information there.
Hi!
The relevant log files for export issues might be:
Engine Logs (System_Engine.log)
Printing Service Logs (C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\PrintingService\)
Proxy Logs (C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Proxy\)
If nothing useful is in the logs, enable debug logging and retry the export to capture more details. Let us know
