Community post improvement by adding software version + SR

I would put it as an "IDEA", but we dont have "Ideas" section for Community corner....

Myself, @Ruggero_Piccoli, @Daniel_Jenkins , @Frank_S  and few other people are daily involved in NPrinting part of community. The most frustrating thing about answering to questions is to get from users information what version of software they are using and with which Qlik product. Is NPrinitng 16 or 17... Is it with QlikView or Qlik Sense... Which version... what SR of NPrinintg etc...

It would be extremly helpful to introduce compulsory fields to be filled up when posting NPrinting posts. Those fields would be:

• NPrinitng version: (this could be dropdown with all available versions)
• QlikView or Qlik Sense + dropdown to choose versions

This small (or maybe huge) improvement would prevent us from writing all over the same answers requesting info re versions.. See below how many of those we ask all the time - I just browsed few last posts and look what I found..

I think we are only half way there... As soon as you select on label the other label is not required.

The whole point was to get always:

• NPrinting version - we have this after the recent community upgrade
• QlikView or Qlik Sense version - this is still not enforced and is still big gap

I tested it and currently I can just select NPrinting version and I am not required to choose QlikView or Qlik Sense. I would actually go further as it is important to also know not only the software QV or QS but the version of QlikView or QlikSense. Often users are posting questions about NPrinting not working, but they are on unsupported version of QV/QS or on the version which has particular bug.

I think my initial suggestion to have 2 separate options for NPrinting version and for qlikview/qliksense version would be even more helpful .

I understand that when some of the above mentioned were posted we did not have labels yet, but my point is that we still need to ask for version (SR !!!) of QlikView or Qlik Sense

@Lech_Miszkiewicz  I am not sure we could require another set of labels but I am checking with my team and I will get back to you. I know that is not ideal and why this isn't 100 %.  I will get back to you soon. Sue
