Qlik community - English not a possible language to select??

Hi community,

 

I would like my community language set to english, but can't find this option under the "select language" option ("selecteer een taal" in Dutch, see  pic below. and "English" in Dutch is "Engels" )

Interesting find.

Being Dutch, I had a similar problem a few years ago. I solved it by changing the language in settings.

How?

Click on your name (top right side of your screen).

A box will open. Click on "Preferences" (or "Voorkeuren").

About 5 options from the bottom you will find "Language" (or "Taal" I guess).

Don't forget to click on "Save" / "Opslaan"!

Thanks a lot Onno - That worked fine however one strange thing still...

Everything changed to English except the option to select language - that's still in Dutch - could it be that there's some connection with my system/PC settings which are overruling the community preference settings?

Hi Dieter,

Thanks for your question. I'm glad to see Onno's suggestion worked well for your. Interestingly enough, English is not an option for me to choose from the "Select Language" option either. If I recall correctly, this translation tool is a Google Translate plugin, and it may be using your computer's IP address or some other identifier to display the "Select Language" text in Dutch automatically.
