User CALs

HI

We have limit of 20 User CALs. (Client Access Licenses)

We have users that do not access the modules for months.

I would like to remove the CALs linked to them.

What I have found is the following

1) live CALs located in ~ QlikView\QVAccessPoint
2) backup CALs located in ~ C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikVierwServer

It is mentioned that one can delete all the live CAL files

NOW

1) I want to write a .bat file to only delete the CalData.pgo file (or is it best to delete them all)

2) Then have a automated job call the .bat file to run at end of each month

will this remove all the User CALs?

Is there another way to only remove  CALs not utilized in last month?

Thank you

the best way I found is to use excellent

Power Tools 1.2 for QlikView

there is a tool "Qv User Manager" - you can pull list of user who did not access QV in a specified number of day and then use that list to drop licenses for them. Works like a charm and even can be scheduled to run automatically on weekend.

Please note that it takes 24 hours to free up the license.
