Connect to SQL Services Analysis Services with QS April 2018 patch 1

We have some SQL Services Analysis Services data cubes that I would like to connect to. I am trying to replace the functionality that currently resides in Excel with Qlik Sense. I want to create a connection to SSAS cube but I am currently unable to connect. I can create an OLE DB connection using a trusted connect (AD account) to the SQL server database engine on the standard port 1433. My AD account is a member of the SA group for SQL Server and I can connect to the cubes using SSMS. If I change the port to use the standard port 2383 for SSAS I get an error. Please help me set up the connection! I am using Qlik Sense April 2018 Patch 1.

This is not possible with your version of Qlik so you can upgrade or use Power BI.

Hi,

Hope you solved this. If you are looking for an easier way to connect to SSAS and AAS, have a look at the connector made for the purpose:

Makes it a lot nicer to work with 🙂
