Installed certificates are valid to connect to Qlik Sense

Hi All,

I need some assistance with setting up Qliksense certificates in NPrinting. I have so far managed to to have everything working but cannot seem to understand why I keep getting an error for valid certificates. I followed all required steps from exporting certificates from QS using an admin user account to placing them into the required folder in NPrinting server but I still get the error.

I followed the below links:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/NPrinting-with-...

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/Troubleshooting/NP-wont-read-QS-cert...

What could I be missing here?

@Nathan_M what version is NP and QS on?

Maybe turn off certificate validation:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2025/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/NPrinting-...

This feature was added in newer versions, so if you are on an old version it won't be there.

Hi @David_Friend , We are on 2024 Patch 19 May QS version and latest patch of NPrinting 17 (February 2024 - Version: 24.4.14.0)

@Nathan_M then just FYI that is NPrinting Feb 2024, the term "NPrinting 17" refers to the version we released back in 2017 🙂

Yes in Feb 24 the server validation is there so try turning that off and see if it helps!

If it does then please click 'Accept as Solution' thanks!

Hi @David_Friend , thank you so much for your assistance thus far. It seems like when turning off the certification validation option, the list of errors now increase

@Nathan_M ouch yeah thats not good!

I'm curious what sort of environment are these servers in, are they on-prem or in AWS/Azure?  For this connection is it pointed at a QlikSense proxy?

@David_Friend these are on-prem servers and yes, NPrinting is pointing at the Qliksense proxy on port 4242

That sounds a like a pretty straight-forward environment.

Any load balancers and/or proxy servers in the mix?

Also suggest you post in the NPrinting forum so our other NPrinting experts can see this and weigh in as well:

(this forum you have posted in is not the NPrinting one)
