Added SSL certificate to QMC but cannot connect

Hi,

I have added an SSL certificate to my Qlik test environment, Sept 2018 sp4 on an Azure VM. But I still get the message that the certificate is not secure in Chrome.

I followed the steps in this article: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/June2019/Subsystems/AdministerQSEoK/Content/Sense_QMC/change-to-si...
and in this one, https://support.qlik.com/articles/000005458

But it doesn't work as expected.

So what I did so far:

  • Created the DNS rule with the correct surfix, same as the SSL certificate.
  • Imported the certificate in the MMC
  • Copied the thumbprint to the proxy SSL.
  • I can reach my VM through RDP with the DNS name

What can I check or change to see what is going wrong. Because in the past, and on our production environment this is working, with another SSL certificate.

Hi,

Thanks guys, I found the issue, it wasn't the certificate but an error in my firewall configuration that gave the issue.

Regards,

Hendri

Its only in Chrome you have the problem, then check this article:

Hi Gio,

Thanks for the reply. I tested it with IE 11 as well and that has the same issue.

Hi @hvdbunte

Have you tried the options here .. I suspect it might be a permissions issue with accessing the certificate. The service account running Qlik services needs access to the mmc certificate.

https://community.qlik.com/t5/New-to-Qlik-Sense/Issue-in-SSL-certificate-import-in-qliksense-server/...

Might be worth checking the logs to see if the new certificate is being picked up (if not - it would default to the original certificate).

Regards LA.
