Calculate session duration QlikSense Saas
Hi all,
There are no monitoring app's with QlikSense SaaS but my customer want to monitor how much time a user spend on a single session. I found some information that you can get some info from the audit API. So far so good.
I managed (on 2 different customer environments) to get the information with this strings:
or
- https://xxx.eu.qlikcloud.com/api/v1/audits?limit=100
At field eventType I see a lot of "com.qlik.user-session.begin" logs with a date. But I need also the "com.qlik.user-session.end". In both environments I don't find a lot of this eventType. Maybe 2 or 3.
Does this means almost none of the started sessions are properly ended? Or does the ending only appear when you use the sign off button instead of close the browser and finally somewhere Qlik automaticly ends the session?
I tested with the sign of button and the "com.qlik.user-session.end" appear. But it look like if Qlik kills the session automaticly that this is not logged. At last 2 months I have on my userID two "com.qlik.user-session.end" eventTypes but I use QlikSense SaaS almost everyday. And yes I never use the sign off button because Qlik kills the session also when i close my brower.
Or is there another way to calculate this? Or other endpoint. I searched a lot on the internet but cannot find much.
Lot of questions and I hope somebody can help me?
Thank you in advance!

Hello mwanders, thanks for posting to our Qlik Community! This is a known limitation in SaaS, so for now it is not possible to retrieve how much time a user spend on a single session.
