We are trying to setup a 2 node Qlik Sense cluster and it requires a File Share.
Qlik documentation states:
What is the best option for a network file share which is secure?
Our Infosec team does not approve a Windows Shared Folder as it is insecure. NFS storage was approved but Qlik Sense does not support NFS and if it did it would be slower.
Would your infosec team be open to using a Windows Folder Share if it was encrypted? You could create an encrypted folder share and then install the certificate on both nodes so that they can read from it.
QlikSense requires a Windows share (SMB). Could you perhaps set the servers on a more secure network and only route traffic for https from the outside?
Since NFS is not supported (we tried it and did not work, there were issues with Qlik loading the app into the hub), we went ahead with CIFS/SMB
Here is an example of a share for a multinode, a common setup seen is setting this share on a D:\ drive rather than C:\.
The share was created using that share button while logged in as the service account, this allows the Service account to be owner which is optimal.
