Custom security rules for Load Editor

We have a requirement for a custom access setting. In the "Prepare" section of the app, we need to show some times and hide the rest to some users.

"Prepare" Sections with the following enabled:

  1. Data Manager
  2. Data Model Viewer

The below should be disabled:

  1. Data Load Editor
  2. Associations

I have attached a screenshot depicting the same.

I created the security rule as below:

And below is how it looks now (data model viewer opened up, but lacking what we seek):

Help please...

Hi,

Hopefully this will help!

Regarding the Data Model Viewer not showing what you expect, I believe that you simply need to enable "Read" permission on "App.Object_*"

For info, App_* only filter on the app itself and not its content.

For your second request which is, enabling Data Manager and disabling Script load Editor, I am not sure this is doable and even supported.

You are normally not supposed to access these resources on a published app. See (At the bottom) https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/November2020/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Publishing/publish-t...

My understanding is that you can disable the Data Load Editor by applying the app_appscript  objectType to your rules.  I haven't done it but it was mentioned in a few questions on the same topic.  My interest is securing certain scripts that are loaded with include but that won't work.
