Error "Too many active sessions in parallel" right after login

Hi Community,

can you please tell me what could cause error "You cannot access Qlik Sense because you have too many active sessions in parallel" RIGHT AFTER login? The scenario is as follows:

A user needs to create a few screenshots each week. They created a list of URLs linking direcly to necessary sheets, with bookmarks/selections applied via URL (according to the App Integration API documentation). The user opens a browser, pastes a URL to address bar, browser redirects to authentication, authenticates and redirects back to the app, after which the error is triggered. This happens pretty much randomly, so sometimes the user is able to open a few apps and take screenshots, othertimes this happens at the very first try, although the next app tried right after works OK.

This does not seem to be an issue of any particular app/sheet/bookmark/combination of selections, because sometimes it happens, sometimes not.

The user certainly does not have 5+ sessions RIGHT AFTER LOGIN.

Looking in the logs, proxy logs look OK, but Repository/Trace/License_Repository log contains error 403 for this user:
Description: Command=License user access;Result=403;ResultText=Error: Access denied
Message: Access was denied for User: 'XXX', with AccessID '2ab4db43-06d3-415e-acbd-d37cd9320aa3', SessionId: '3c568134-741c-4335-8b31-981d0f87ad9e', SessionCount: '5', Hostname: '::ffff:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx', OperationType: 'UsageDenied'

However, I've noticed one strange thing in proxy logs. If there's no error and everything works as expected, the session is opened, used and closed in proxy logs ("Stop session for user 'xxx' . Session id = 'd3d1ddbf-1d73-47b0-88e8-3ece3815165c' and all dependents will be deleted."). But when there is an error, this session is not closed, but stays alive until timeout, when it is killed due to inactivity.

Any pointers? Thanks a mile!
