Giving access to a non-Qlik external user

We are a Qlik Sense Enterprise site and are interested in giving secure access an external customer access to a specific sheet.  They do not have Qlik Sense.   Ideally, they would like read-write access to the sheet.

Here are some older links that discuss this scenario:
-Share QlikSense app with non users - Qlik Community - 1578514
QlikSense App Share with non Qlik user - Qlik Community - 1366969

They would need to access via the Hub and would need to use a token. You could create them as a user and assign them a login token instead of a named user if they are not going to be accessing the app often.

Otherwise you would need to use the Cloud. But you would have to export the app from the QMC and then upload it to the Cloud and then publish it there. Kind of a pain. Also, no way to reload the data in the free Cloud. You would have to repeat this process every time you reloaded the app on the server.

Keep in mind that they don't need Qlik to access the app. They just need access to the URL for your hub using their browser. But once they access an app they are technically a Qlik user.

This is sensitive information and not to be consumed by the public.

Questions:
-What has changed since these posts were written?
-Has anyone done this successfully?  If so, how did you set it up?   There was mention of giving the external user access to the sheet's url .
-Were any additional Qlik products needed?  One post mentions that the external user needs Qlik Capacity Analyzer, and there was mention of Qlik  Cloud - is that now Qlik Enterprise?

Thanks for any info you can give!

@Genevieve_M ,

The virtual proxy has options to allow anonymous users to access the hub. You can create a security rule to let few apps be available to these users.

I am taking a Qlik course on Udemy and asked this the instructor a few days ago. Unfortunately, the only way to share something with a user who doesn't have a license is to share a photo, PDF, or other similar file.
