I have a 1 node/server installation of Qlik Sense 3.2, on a Windows 2012 server.
I want to upgrade to Qlik Sense November 2017 and in the documentation says I need to know if may current version is using:
- shared or synchronized persistence (because each of them has different steps for upgrade).
Start form June 2017 you can use only shared persistence.
If there's a Service Cluster section in the QMC, then you are on Shared.
Yes, That's True that from JUNE 2017 Shared persistence what is only offered.
But, for 3.2 it will be difficult to decide if the user doesn't have access to QMC.
EASY. looking at share folder on your QlikSense server? if found shared folder wih catalo apps / archived logs -it is a shared.
If you found your application in c:\programdata\qlik\sense\apps - it is a sync persistence
Thanks. The problem is that upgrade from a synchronized to a shared persistence, is done differently from shared to shared persistence (documentation): "To upgrade from Qlik Sense 3.1 SR2 or later to Qlik Sense June 2017 or later and migrate from a synchronized persistence model to a shared persistence model, see" https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/November2017/Subsystems/PlanningQlikSenseDeployments/Content/Deplo...
I don't seem to have a Service Cluster, so it must be Synchronized (hopefully):
Can you please explain where can I see "shared folder wih catalo apps / archived logs"?
I did try the other path you suggested "c:\programdata\qlik\sense\apps" and I found a bunch of files with long names, and I just want to make sure:
You have a sync persistence.
