Install fails due to 'A newer version of Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher is already installed. Setup will now exit.'

Hi,

I have a test environment I'm using to test the upgrade from the May release to Nov.  My initial upgrade failed and the subsequent rollback left Qlik in a completely unusable state.

So I've uninstalled and  removed all traces of Qlik from the server in order to re-install the May release and attempt the upgrade again.

However, the install fails.  I have this message in the Windows application log...."Product: Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher -- A newer version of Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher is already installed. Setup will now exit."

I can find no trace of the service, so what am I missing?  Where is the install process finding this existing version?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Chip_Matejowsky

Thanks for the response but this wasn't my issue (this time!) since I had uninstalled the repository database.

FYI - I managed to track the problem down to some left over registry entries. I searched entire registry for 'Qlik' and deleted all keys.

From memory there were some installer package dependencies, one of which referenced the dispatcher service with a version number, so I'm assuming this was the culprit.
