Migration of objects from one account to another

I was wondering if it is possible to do a batch migrate of all the user objects from one account to another? We have a user with hundreds of objects and their windows account has become corrupt, we may have to completely rebuild their account under a new username and I was wondering if that happens could we easily migrate all his objects from his old user name to new one?

I can see that it’s possible for individual objects. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.

Hi @pasgalbarra,

If you're looking for a utility to do a batch migration of user objects in QlikView, the QlikView Power Tools > Server Object Handler may do the trick. See Community post https://community.qlik.com/t5/QlikView-Documents/Power-Tools-for-QlikView-One-stop-shop/ta-p/1493451 for more details. Please note that the QV Power Tools are not Qlik supported utilities.

Hello @pasgalbarra , unfortunately there is no tool available to do this out of the box, however, you can multi-select the objects and change them in batches that way.  This will be limited by what displays in the QMC.

This has been discussed elsewhere in Community:
https://community.qlik.com/t5/New-to-Qlik-Sense/Batch-change-ownership-of-app-objects-in-Qlik-Sense/...

It is possible to change ownership via the API using the AppID, so there may be other unsupported tools to do this.  In this case it seems batch select would be a much quicker and more straightforward method.

I hope that helps!

Hi @Jay_Brown

Thanks for your answer, I saw in the link you share the following:

I saw there is a tool called Power Tools that could do this but that only seems to be working for Qlikview.

I need this for QlikView, this is the unsupported tool you mentioned?

Thanks

Hi @pasgalbarra , Edit:  I see you need it for QlikView.  Chip has you covered on that below.

For future Qlik Sense searchers.  Look at Qlik-CLI:
Note that these tools are not supported by Qlik directly.

Qlik-Cli Update-QlikObject:
