Moving Qliksense server from Workgroup to Domain

Hello,

Just for my knowledge can anyone help me with an article which explains about what is going to be the impact on existing users and the configuration changes needed to be done if we are moving existing Qliksense server from Workgroup to Domain.

Currently our users are authenticated via Excel saved locally on Qliksense server. each user is having a username and password to login to Qliksense. 

Currently we have only 1 single environment in Qliksense (Prod) and no Dev or test. So before making any changes I need to be sure, what would be the consequences if Qliksense server in workgroup is moved to domain

will the local users you have right now be the same "usernames" in the domain later on?

You will probably need to change the service user for the sytem, for the most recent sense version you can follow this guide. It also lists in which groups the user need to be and which rights you need to add.

if you take a DB backup prior the change you can always role back to the config you had before:

Since you run an excel sheet udc you can add the domain users here as well (later switch to the domain sync udc).

which you could see as workgroup (or servername for old domain) then new domain the domain you want to use.
