Qlik Sense Desktop hub keeps getting Printing error

What I did so far

  • Uninstall Sense Desktop, two versions had been installed
  • Uninstalled QlikView 12
  • Deleted everything here:C:\Users\<user profile>\Documents\Qlik
  • Rebooted
  • Installed Desktop 3.1.4 using - Right click Run As Administrator on the setup executable

But when I try to launch QS-D I get the attached errors over and over:

Qlik.Printing.Sense.Service has stopped.

Any ideas what i can do to to a 'clean install' or trouble shoot this further??

Uninstalling everything and installing the June '18 release seems to have resolved the problem. Yay newest update!

Tried total wipe: uninstall, cleaning the registry, reinstall Desktop 3.1.4, no joy.

Tried uninstall and installing QS 3.2.

No joy.

Is there any part of windows that the print service relies on that can be upgraded/downgraded? - Using Win 10 Enterprise 64bit.

The problem is probably associated with .net I looked at the event viewer and I found that .net was having problems:

Then used a M$ utility called: .net repair tool:

I tried the M$ automated repair and it didn't do anything.

Looks like other software in your dektop causing the issue. Try stopping softwares like skype, Lovasoft to see if that help to fix the issue.

Do you mean

1. shut down background software before installing

2. keep other apps off when running - (or)

3. uninstall some other applications that will interfere with QS-D?

Thanks for the reply

Yes please.

Just keep them off and try accessing the qliksense. No need to uninstall them , but make sure those software are not holding any port's of Qliksense.
