Qlik Sense Engine utilizing memory more than 95 percent and crashes

Hi community,

One of my client is using qlik sense and nprinting both on different server , and after running some task on nprinting memory utilization keeps on increasing and doesn't until services get restarted. I shortisted the task of nprinting. Where can I look into the logs and what steps should be followed for better processing of the servers.

Hello @nilesh007,

For how long do you wait before restarting the services?

Please notice that the Apps on Qlik Sense client managed will remain in memory for 8h till the latest session has ended.

App cache time (seconds) The number of seconds that a Qlik Sense app is allowed to remain in memory, after the last session that used the app has ended.

Default value = 28800 seconds.

Is your environment sized properly to as per the load you need?

Cheers,

Albert

Check the following

  • Ensure your version of Qlik Sense is supported with your version of NPrinting: See Qlik Sense Compatibility section here: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/System-requirements_eng...
  • You haven't mentioned the version of Qlik Sense and NPrinting so it's not clear if your client is in a supported state. Older NP versions may result in the behavior you are experiencing.
  • IF you also run QlikView in that environment and if you share the QlikView service account with NPrinting, the issue you mention is often encountered.

Kind regards...
