You are getting certificate and database access errors in the logs, is the Service Account a local admin?

Dear Nick,

Thank you for the response.

Yes, Service account is a member of local administror group.

One thing I obeserved about the certificates is, there is no "Exported Certificates" folder in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository.

I tried to regenarate the certtificates by following the steps in below link, but certificates are not genarated.

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/How-to-recreate-or-just-delete-certificates-...

and Today what I found is, I used telnet command to check if port 443 is open or not.

Command: telnet QlikserverIP 443

It says that could not open connection on port 443.

I think Qlik will not work if port 443 is not open.

Kindly suggest how to proceed.

Best Regards,

Sudheer

Hi @sudheersakamuri ,

Firstly, are your Qlik Services up ?

Secondly, Check if the antivirus has been updated to exclude qlik folders & restart the machine once. After inspecting the logs it seems servicecluster.xml file seems to be missing, Such missing file occur when antivirus scans & deletes them.

Just check these 2 points once & let us know.

Regards,

Rohan.

Hi @sudheersakamuri ,

You can check the port status by the netstat command.

Also just to be clear, you have freshly installed Qlik Sense & not even activated the license yet right ? If that's the case, have you done any customization on the Repo config or installation path config ?

If yes, then can you uninstall & reinstall with default setting & check if that is working or not ? I believe this will help you understand where exactly you are getting the issue at...

Regards,

Rohan.

Dear @Rohan ,

I checked the ports using netstat command and 443 is not open.

Yes, QS is freshly installed and not even the licenses are activated.

I didn't not changed any default settings while installing QS.

I reinstalled QS with default seeting again now but no luck.

Hi @sudheersakamuri ,

Yeah, then you'll have to check with you Network team to open the necessary ports.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/May2024/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_DeployA...

Do restart the machine once after the Network team does the needful.

Regards,

Rohan.

Hi @Rohan ,

As you informed, I confirm that "InitialServiceCluster.xml" is missing in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Installation folder.

There is no "Exported Certificates" folder in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository and in MMC also no certificates under computer account and User account personal & Trusted certificates folder.

I tried to recreate by following the steps mentioned in below link but no luck.

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/How-to-recreate-or-just-delete-certificates-...

I will ask network team to exclude Qlik folders from Anti virus in applied.

Do you think this is might be root cause for entire issue ?
