Qlik Sense - Upgrade Windows OS
Hi All,
We are running QlikSense April 2020 P2 on Windows Server 2012 R2.
We are planning on upgrading the Windows OS to Windows Server 2019.
Can anyone confirm if performing a OS upgrade will change Qlik Sense Application behavior. Does Qlik Support OS upgrades to Windows 2019.
Thanks,
Aadil

Hello Aadil,
Thanks for posting your query.
Certainly there will be no effect on Qlik Sense product during the OS upgrade but as a pre-requisite it is mandatory to take a full backup of Qlik Sense so in case of any issue you may restore it back to its good known configuration.
Please refer to below article and follow the pre-requisites.

HI Aadil,
Keep in mind upgrading the OS could have impacts to the server resources. While it shouldn't change anything in Qlik, the new version may use additional memory which could impact performance. You may want to check with Microsoft on recommended hardware specs for the upgraded version.

We had QlikSense February 2023 on Windows Server 2012 and did an in-place upgrade to windows Server 2019.
We did it on our central node. All the Qlik Services were not able to start.

To get accurate information about the compatibility and behavior of Qlik Sense on Windows Server 2019, I recommend reaching out to the official Qlik support team. They will have the most up-to-date knowledge and can guide you through the process of upgrading your OS while ensuring the smooth functioning of your Qlik Sense application.
When it comes to finding a product key, it's important to prioritize security and legality. I would advise against using third-party tools like the one mentioned on https://kms-auto.org, as they claim to hack the operating system. Instead, follow the official methods recommended by the software provider.
