Qliksense Fileshare offline

ALL,

We have a  file share (eg., to store apps, archived logs, extensions etc.,) on dedicated server for better resilience and performance.

The infra team is taking it offline for maintenance.

Can some one please provide me if there is any checks needs to be considered from Qlik sense?

Will it cause any impact to qliksense, users when the file server goes offline?

Thanks

Hello Jpjust,

The Qlik Share folder has important details to run the apps as well. The App Binary and apps and logs are stored in the share folders. If this is down it would hinder the smooth working of Qlik Sense Enterprise. So its best to move the files to another fileshare (temprurily) configure the same in QMC would help.

Thanks for your response.

So when the infrastructure team takes the file share server offline for maintenance, its better to check if the file share will be failed over to another server so Qlik sense can run with out interruption?

If the file share isn't there I don't think you can even start QlikSense, at the very least you will not be able to open any apps or do any reloads.

If they have a failover for the files hare that would indeed be the beat solution.
