Security Rule with AD Group. Group not populating

I'm using Qlik Sense 2.1.1.0 and have a directory connector to AD pulling in users fine. However, when I'm creating security rules, some of my AD groups are not showing up and some are. How would I troubleshoot this? I looked in the repository log and see it grabbing a large number of groups on the sync.

Just to follow up...An AD group will not populate if there are no members in the group... Terrible "feature" for prepping an environment without users in the groups.
