Security rule for Apps custom properties

Is there a way to write a security rule to disable editing/updating custom properties for apps?

And by that I mean what you see in QMC Apps->Edit app. (not the QMC Custom properties)

Hi @gandalfgray  custom rules are not directly supported. But there are resources available that should help you in implementing rules to achieve you aims.

But, still, to be able to grant update access to only some of the Apps metadata you need to be able to filter on something like what is possible (but not really documented) for AppObjects where you have the objectType.

So if there was an objectType for App that could be used to separate the Apps Identification/Tags/Custom Properties it would be possible, but I have not seen an example, so it may not be possible

Hi @gandalfgray  you could try using api calls to list the app objects. Check this  Qlik help article it contains examples of how to list all objects associated with an application.

Thanks, interesting but not what I am after. 

I am looking for a way to stop users from changing custom property values for apps.
