I got a new windows 2019 box for installing Qlik. Set up all ports and firewall rules, folders and antivirus rules as needed for installing QlikSense.

Installed April 2020 - installed with no issues.

Upgraded to February 2021 - installed with no issues.

Upgrading to February 2022 - facing the error as described in https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/Http-listening-port-already-in-use-by-an-external-service-in...

This box has no other service running on it - this is a dedicated host for Qlik.

Did a netstat as mentioned in the document [https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/Find-out-what-s-blocking-port-80-443-on-Windows-and-stopping...], and the ports are not in use by any app. Output of netstat is present to the bottom of this comment.

Help please, we are stuck unable to upgrade Qlik Sense from Feb 2021 to Feb 2022.

Note: Installing Feb 2022 clean (no Qlik installed at all) works fine.

Unfortunately the above solution didn't help. Ports 80 and 443 not in use and still got the error. Will open a Qlik support ticket.

I suggest that you set up telnet on your Qlik Sense server

and test the port with

Telnet 127.0.0.1 80

If nothing is there indicated by failed to connect or similar message, then this will confirm port 80 is not in use and I would recommend submitting a support request

Create Case in Case Portal

However, just one more thing.

Make sure to unblock the installation file similar to the unblocking shown in this image. This might solve the issue.
