What are the definitions of CacheHits and CacheLookups in Peformance_Engine log?

Hei
I found CacheHits and CacheLookups fields in Performance_Engine log. But they are not mentioned in the help page: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/February2022/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_De...

Can somebody explain what these 2 fields are?

Best regards,
Susan

Hello @Huiying

Yes this seems not to be documented for Qlik Sense help, however I see these same fields from the QlikView help page 'performance' logging, although not much more of a description is given than that.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/May2021/Subsystems/Server/Content/QV_Server/QlikView-Server/QVS...

Digging a little deeper I found some more descriptive information from R&D on those:

• Cache Lookups > when engine looks for something to see if it was already cached
• Cache Hits > when engine looks for and finds something already cached > i.e. the sales by month chart for US was already cached so viewing that chart again would be a lookup

Hope that helps!
