best way to manage more than 1k users and groups in Sense?

from the perspective of a "enterprise" company..: 

Which is the best way to manage 5000 (and more) users and groups?
Excel?
I am thinking about creating a table in PostgreSQL for user management.

Qlik Sense users and groups can be synchronized from User Director Connector (UDC). The source of connection can be from:

• Generic LDAP
• Advanced LDAP
• Active Directory
• ApacheDS
• ODBC
• Access (through ODBC)
• Excel (through ODBC)
• SQL (through ODBC)
• Teradata (through ODBC)

For more than 5000 users and groups, you should be still able to use Excel file.  The excel file sheet has limitation but it can accommodate these information.   Excel specifications and limits   Using database is easier to  maintain.  But LDAP server is recommended as it is more powerful to store and manage user information and group attribute.
