Does anyone have guidance on this? We have a Qlik Sense environment (Sept 2020 patch eight) that has one central server in our app network zone and an IIS reverse proxy in the web server zone in front of it. We are migrating the central server to a new 2019 windows server and would like replace the IIS server with a Qlik Proxy node. Our end state goal is the same as the diagram below.
We have successfully migrated the central server and restored the data. However when I go to install Qlik sense (join cluster) on the Proxy node it prompts me for the "share persistence database connection" for port 4432 the standard DB listening port. The Qlik diagram only calls for 4242 and 4239 for the QRS. No mention of 4432 outbound from the Proxy node. Am I missing something in the installation or do I need to change the DB listening port or do I need to get 4432 added to the firewall rules so the Node can communicate with the DB on the Central server?
Hi @J_Mulholland ,
Please refer to the Port help link,.
In the part "Minimum ports used for communication in multi-node sites", it mentioned:
QRD | 4432 | Inbound from Qlik Sense nodes to the repository database | The default listen port used by all nodes in a site for connecting to the Qlik Sense Repository Database. |
I hope this helps.

thanks Jack. I'm working with my network team to open that port. Hopefully that will fix it.

@J_Mulholland thanks for the update, glad to hear it's working now 🙂
