hi

I am using Qlik-Sense  and my server Hard Drive Capacity is running low

1.I would like to know  if there are  temporary files or  folders that can be deleted  .

2. We are using 97% of our server Hard Drive is it possible it causes latency  for Qlik-sense  users ?

please advise

QlikSense writes lots of .logs file stored loacally in the server hard drive but these logs are never deleted by the qlik services.

Try to check your server's logs folder and delete the olders files:

You can find all logs path here:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/November2018/Subsystems/PlanningQlikSenseDeployments/Content/Sense...

Check the "\Script" (%ProgramData%\Qlik\Sense\Log\Script) and the "ArchivedLogs" folders ... usually are the heaviest logs folders.

Have you narrow down what folder is consuming majority of the disk space? By default we can blame Qlik product to be the responsible of this behavior, however, unless you made you shared folder ( for the Shared persistance) into you C drive, it should not consumed the disk space. With my experience, it can be a windows issue, when it either creating random Temp files due to a failed windows update, or pagefile.sys, or many more. I would like to understand where is mostly the disk is consuming space and then we can conclude what to do next.

Thanks for your reply
The windows folder is the biggest one ,
can you please direct me to the temp folders ?

Thanks in advance

Qlik does not do much in the Windows folder, so I cannot say for sure here. There is a temp folder with "windows" but nothing to do with Qlik. I would suggest to get with you IT team.

One question, how have you configured your windows server swap file ?

windows by itself consumes a lot of space for swap which can be then manually managed.

If your server have a lot of ram, windows will consume a lot of hard drive space for the swap without consistent reason.

Qlik by itself is not consuming any space on window folder.
