Issue duplicating a job in Talend

I have problem duplicating one of my jobs in Talend.  Other jobs could be duplicated, but this one couldn't.

0683p000009M2Tw.jpg  I notice the grey square next to this job name is different from others --- it has a bright green rectangle inside.

How could make this job duplicatable again?

Thanks,

TM

green rectangle means - job is locked

it could be in 2 cases:

- for subscription version job could be locked by somebody

- for open source - job was not closed properly (for example studio was crashed)

open and close this job as first solution

I believe the job you're trying to duplicate is locked by you.

Right click over the job ----> Unlock Job

I am on Open Source: I tried "open and close the job", the green rectangle is gone but I still could not duplicate the job  -- I right click, the "Duplicate" window would pop up for "Input new name", but then it would not pop up the other window with version number. No duplicates were created.

Not sure if you are talking about subscription version. On Open Source,
when I right click, there is no "Unlock Job" Option.

Does somebody have other idea?

Hi,

The green lock symbol will be added to a job whenever a user is opening a Talend job. Since you are using Open source version, it will disappear the moment you close the job which you have kept opened.

Now, regarding your next query, there seems to be some confusion. You are mentioning duplicate and at the same time you are mentioning about version of the jobs. Opening a different version and creating a duplicate job are two different tasks.

I have added help document links for both terms which should give you good idea and hopefully they should help to resolve your query.

Nikhil Thampi,

I understand the difference between duplicating an existing job and managing the job versions.

My problem is :  I entered a new name for the duplicate and clicked "OK", but no duplicate was added to

                          the repository.

Please also check Recycle Bin for the job with same name (clean it if necessary)

After I clicked OK, no duplicate was created and nothing created in the Recycle bin.

I imported this particular job into a new project, and there it could be duplicated. It is very strange.
