Hi Stefan,
I tried to download this today. But it fails with a Size Mismatch. Is there another link to download this??
I downloaded it just now, and it worked fine. Where do you get the error?
Hi,
File is ok and running. Must check whether the file is downloaded in full since this is a zip file.
thanx
Hi Stefan,
Well, I tried again just now and it downloaded successfully. ☺ Earlier it failed few times saying sizing mismatch. Anyway thanks for the quick response.
Thanks & Regards
I use the ServerObjectHandler.exe and it works, but only for "all authenticated users" distributed app´s on the accesspoint and not for "named users" distributed app´s! Any reasons why?
Hello Stefan,
Did you get a chance to look at why User call management is not working. Please let me know
Thanks
Chandra
Hi guys,
I have the requirement to track and display the usage of my QlikView_apps by the various teams. Since I want to avoid turning on audit_logging in order to not use any more server_resources, I was thinking of doing this indirectly by tracking the usage of the assigned licenses.
That would of course mean that I will miss the usage of print_reports attached to the apps, which are largely run by a tool.
I think I can use the User_Manager for this, can't I?
Best regards,
DataNibbler
P.S.: Oh- I think I can do it in a still easier way: I can use the DistributionService_logs to track usage of apps, can't I? I think those go back only 30 days or so, but I can easily build my own historization for this.
Hi Stefan
the command
qv-user-manager.exe --remove=CAL
does only remove users that have been inactive for at least 30 days
in the QMC I can remove users up to 24 hours from last useage
it is also said that I should be able to remove a specifyed user but how ?
How can I get it to work ? what is the syntax in that case ?
I think removing user CALs after 24hrs contravenes the licence agreement
the routine QlikTech implemented to have user management alligned to there licence agreement are that if you try to remove a user to soon it will be set in quarentine for the hours left.
So since a user is only locked for 24 hours it means that if you remove a licenced user before it gone 24 hours since last used then you violate the agreement which QlikTech enforce by setting the removed user in quarentine for the remaining time
But my question is still when or how do I get the command
qv-user-manager.exe --remove=CAL
1. to remove just one user
2. to remove users not used +24 hours less 30 days
