I have a map UI conundrum and would appreciate any thoughts.
My customers love the "original position" home control of the Qlik Map chart.
Unfortunately they don't like the Qlik Map tooltip which is sluggish (in our experience) and displays the "+2 more" type message even when there is clearly only 1 layer area under the pointer.
They do really like though, the tooltip of the Qlik Geoanalytics map chart which is fast to re-render and much more configurable.
Q1: Is there a way to replicate the "original position" function in the Qlik Geoanalytics map object ?
Q2: Is there a way to influence/customise the Qlik Map chart tooltip to not show "+3 more" ?
Thanks
Q1: The map trigger re center on selection changes, so one way could be a to make a selection using the button in a dummy dimension.
Q2: The map chart was styled to act more like the standard sense charts like scatter, that is picking tooltips from objects close to the mouse pointer and launching the tooltip with a delay, we will check if it can polished a bit.
Thanks,
Patric
