How to Ask a New Question in the Community

To get the quickest and best responses to your question we recommend that you locate the Community Message Board where your question would be most relevant.


Using the Navigation on the left-hand side, you will see all the options by which you can navigate across the community, for example the different Qlik Products.  There are also discussion boards under each of the main Product Categories.

We recommend and encourage you to always perform a Search for your question in case it has been answered earlier.

To post a new Question click Ask a Question under the most relevant discussion board.

In the Subject field, enter your message title.
Select the best discussion board for your question.

In the Body field, type your message. Be sure to include all necessary details, especially for technical topics.
Add Tags to your message to make it appear in searches and to categorize your question.
You have the option to Upload files to your question if needed.

Click Post

 

You can see all your Questions/posts on the My profile page.

I find it very annoying that the front page does not have an "ask a question" button. I go to the community to either ask a question or search for a question.  The search bar is front and center but not "ask a question".  Anyone else feel this way?  Please like this comment if so.

Also just made a post and the attachment icon is a tiny paper clip at the bottom with no indication it's a link.  I didn't even see it b/c my screen was cutting it off.  Why is it separated from the other options like bold, emojis, etc. I also can't believe Bold, Italic,underline, and lots of other useless formatting  options are front and center. 

Also what happened to people?  I feel like i used to be able to look up people easier.  Sigh.  Just don't like the new website.  I know it's not new at this point but it just has consistently been a pain.

I totally feel the same, I think the usability sucks now along with slow performance.  Sometimes I feel IT systems are replaced just because they were assumed to be old. I was very comfortable with old site and using it on daily basis, now I don't feel like going and checking things around.
