Let 'Last modified' show be the date the app was modified, not reloaded

In QMC Qlik has added the column 'Last reload'.  That is great.

But often I need to know when someone (person) last modified the app. And not when the system last reloaded the app.

I know, semantically, we can define both behaviours to be correct.  But since we have two fields, it would be more helpful if the modified date showed when a user last pressed 'save'?

For that you have the Last Published date.
I assume you publish all applications that are in production, not running them in your private work area.

Not quite.  For the published production versions, the 'Published' column can be used.

However, the development "copy", that isn't published, does not have this field.

In QMC Apps list you can add the Last modified date to the table pan.
Unfortunately next time you open the QMC it is back to the same default columns again.

Yes, I know.  (BTW Daudballing has suggested that QMC remembers these settings in this idea:   https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Sense-Enterprise-Ideas/Set-default-columns-for-QMC/idi-p/1570917 : )

But if I edit an app on the 1st of  April.  Then it reloads with development data each night.

By next week, both 'Last reload' and 'Last modified' shows '2019-04-08'.  And there is no way of knowing when a person actually edited the app.

Technically, the app has been modified, because it has got new data.   But the "app code" has not changed.  That also matters.  Especially in development.

Would use a development stream for that use case when you have a scheduled reload of a development app.
Unless you have a separate development server, then it should be published to the ordinary stream on that server.
To keep track of development I use the About field and note down date/developer/whats done.

Good suggestion, however I do not trust every developer to update a manual field each time he/she does a modification.

But back to the original suggestion: Which of the following do you think that the field 'Last modified' should contain:

 - last time the app was modified

 - last time the app was modified or loaded data
