Welcome to Qlik Ideation

Ideation is where Customers, Partners, Luminaries, and MVPs help shape the future of Qlik products by sharing feedback, submitting product ideas, voting on community suggestions, and adding context through comments.

Every piece of feedback contributes to the product planning process. Product teams review feedback alongside customer conversations, support cases, usage insights, and strategic priorities to help determine future roadmap investments.

Who can use Ideation?

Ideation is available to registered Customers, Partners, Luminaries, and MVPs. You can participate through:

Qlik Community under Support → Ideation → Suggest and Browse
Qlik Cloud Resource Center (Qlik Cloud customers signed in with their Qlik Account)

Feedback submitted from either location automatically syncs across both experiences, allowing you to manage everything from whichever interface is most convenient.

Ways to participate

There are several ways to contribute:

Submit feedback

Share feature requests, pain points, or enhancement ideas as feedback. Unlike the previous system, submissions first enter a review process before becoming public ideas.

Vote

Support ideas that are important to your organization. Votes help product teams understand which problems have the greatest customer impact, although roadmap decisions consider many additional factors.

Comment

Add business context, describe your use case, explain why an idea matters, or provide additional examples. Comments often help product teams better understand customer needs beyond the original submission.

Track your feedback

The My Priorities tab in the portal gives you a centralized view of:

• Feedback you've submitted and/or others from your company have submitted, including the product label if assigned

(Coming soon) Status of your feedback — New, Under review, or Reviewed

(Coming soon) Any ideas created from or linked to your feedback

• Ideas you and your colleagues have voted for and commented on, including their product label, current status, and vote count

How feedback works

The new Ideation experience as of August 2026 separates feedback from ideas.

Step 1 · Submit feedback

Every submission is immediately visible to you under My Priorities. At this stage:

• Only you and Qlik employees can view the submission

• It does not yet have a shareable link

• Voting and commenting from others are not available

Step 2 · Review

Feedback is reviewed by product management using AI-assisted analysis. This helps identify:

• Recurring themes  ·  Common customer problems  ·  Highly requested features

• Related submissions  ·  Potential new ideas

Rather than reviewing each submission in isolation, similar feedback is grouped together into Ideas by the product manager to provide a broader understanding of customer demand.

Step 3 · Published idea

If appropriate, your feedback may be linked to an idea. That idea gains a status — New, Open for feedback, On roadmap, In development, or Delivered. It becomes available for votes and comments first by Qlik employees; your CSM can add your company's context and votes. When appropriate, the idea may be published to the Ideation portal.

Once published:

• The idea becomes visible to everyone

• Customers can vote and comment

• The idea can be shared with others via the shareable link

Multiple feedback submissions may contribute to a single idea.

Understanding feedback vs. ideas

Feedback Idea
Private submission Public discussion

Cannot receive comments Can receive comments
Reviewed by Product Management Represents one or more related customer requests

How roadmap decisions are made

Votes are an important signal, but they are not the only input. Product teams also consider:

• Customer business impact • Support cases
• Recurring themes across feedback • Customer conversations
• Product strategy • Technical feasibility
• Long-term roadmap priorities

This helps ensure decisions reflect both customer demand and overall product direction.

Working with your Customer Success Manager

Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) now has improved visibility into your organization's feedback. They can:

• See feedback submitted by your account

• Understand your organization's priorities

• Identify when feedback has been linked to roadmap work

• Help advocate for customer needs internally

This allows more informed discussions during account reviews and roadmap conversations.

Status updates

Ideas move through various stages as they progress. Idea statuses are one of the following:

New Open for feedback On roadmap In development Delivered

Unlike the previous system, individual feedback submissions generally won't receive direct product manager responses. Instead, feedback continues to be evaluated over time as priorities evolve.

Ideas are not routinely marked as Declined, since feedback may become relevant as customer needs and product direction change.

Things to know

Images

Image uploads are not currently supported. If you need to share screenshots or diagrams, upload them to an external image hosting service and include the link in your feedback. Alternatively, share the title of your feedback and the image with your CSM, who can add the image internally.

Formatting

The submission form currently supports plain text only. Rich text formatting such as headings, bullet lists, and embedded images is not available.

Notifications

When you submit or vote on an idea, you are automatically subscribed to email updates, which primarily includes changes to the idea's status. You can unsubscribe via a link in the email. We're exploring additional notification capabilities, including account-wide updates for Customer Success Managers.

Migration from the previous Ideation portal

Open ideas from the previous Ideation portal have been migrated into the new experience. During migration:

• Original submissions are preserved where possible

• Submission dates are retained

• Votes and subscriptions are retained

• Related feedback may be consolidated into shared ideas

If you do not see your feedback, it likely exists but is linked to a different user. Check both Qlik Cloud and Qlik Community. If you can't find it, you are welcome to re-submit it, as the new portal allows multiple feedback submissions to be linked to a single idea. Migration work continues as existing feedback is reviewed and organized.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I find my submission?

New submissions first appear in My Priorities while they are being reviewed. They won't appear in portal search until they have been linked to a published idea.

What makes a good feedback submission?

• Focus on the business problem rather than the solution.

• Explain your workflow and desired outcome.

• Describe the impact on users or your organization.

• Include links to screenshots or examples if helpful.

Why can't others vote on my submission?

Only published ideas can receive community votes and comments.

Will every submission receive a response?

No. Feedback is continually reviewed, but individual submissions generally won't receive direct responses unless they become part of a published idea. We are working on surfacing feedback statuses (New, Under Review, and Reviewed) under My Priorities — that feature is not available today.

Can I submit feedback from Qlik Cloud?

Yes. Qlik Cloud customers can submit feedback directly through the Ideation module in the Resource Center. Feedback automatically synchronizes with Qlik Community.
