Currently, in Qlik, we have:

• Operating System: Windows Server 2019 Standard 64-bit

• Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R)

And in NPrinting, we have:

• Version: Qlik NPrinting May 2021 SR3 Version: 21.14.7.0

We recommend testing the upgrade in a development or test environment before applying it to your production environment, to minimize risk and ensure a smooth transition.

Here is the latest reliable version:

• Qlik Sense Enterprise: May 2025

• Qlik NPrinting: February 2025 SR1

Both versions are fully compatible with Windows Server 2019, so your current OS setup is suitable for the upgrade.

Qlik Sense Upgrade steps:

1. Pre-Upgrade Backups:

   • Backup the Qlik Sense Repository Database (QSR), certificates, and shared content (e.g., apps, extensions).

   • If you're using VMs, a full snapshot is highly recommended.

   Since you’re on February 2021, we recommend upgrading incrementally:

   • First upgrade to February 2022

   • Then upgrade to August 2022

   After reaching August 2022, you’ll need to upgrade your PostgreSQL database using the Qlik PostgreSQL Installer (QPI):

1. Backup First:

   • Use the built-in NPrinting backup tool, or manually back up the PostgreSQL database and config files.
