Qlikview 12 License & Support

Dear Sir/Madam

Kindly help to answer following queries:

1. I have just downloaded Qlikview 12, no sure whether it can run application developed in Qlikview 10, any modification is required ?. 

2. Can Qlikview 10's user license be used when installing Qlikview 12?

3. I understand that Qlikview is not supported by Qlik anymore, may I know where to get any technical support?

4. How to create API in Qlikview 12 ?. Please advise steps by steps procedures.

Hi,

1. Yes, the apps can run. Maybe some visualization losses a configuration parameter but it's very rare, usually everything works similar as it was.

2. So far I know licenses are not related to versions, so I would say 'yes, you can use the same license'

3. Based on: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Product-Lifecycle/QlikView-Product-Lifecycle/ta-p/1826339 the most recent versions of QlikView 12 are supported.

4. I don't know, maybe you can open another question being more specific on waht do you want to create with the API so other users with more experience on APIs can give instructions. In case it helps:

Hi !

I have some questions and considerations.

1 - Are you working with Qlik Personal or Qlik Enterprise?

a) If you are developing with a Pesonal License, maybe some objects or functions are not supported anymore, but the file will open normally ( I did it before ) 

b) If yo are using Qlik Enterprise, you must check if you license is active ( subscriptions) , If is active, you can upgrade your system 

2 - Can Qlikview 10's user license be used when installing Qlikview 12?

Only if you pay for subscription you have rights to do it. Some customers "stopped" paying, and if you try to install a new version, your system will not works.

3 - How to create API in Qlikview 12 ?

You mean "Read APIs' with Qlik or Create an API to read Qlik Data ?
