In my case I downloaded version Talend-Studio-20181026_1147-V7.1.1 and my Mac version is MoJave, I downloaded the zip, finder automatically unzipped it and start the Talend-Studio-macosx-cocoa and got this error "was unable to locate its companion shared library".

The following solution worked for me:

Started a terminal

cd to the unzipped folder and ran below command

xattr -c Talend-Studio-macosx-cocoa.app

Thanks, xattr -c TOS_DI-macosx-cocoa.app fixed it for me (v 7.2.1)

xattr -c ~/TOS_BD-20170623_1246-V6.4.1/TOS_BD-macosx-cocoa.app

generic : xattr -c ~/<Directory>/<Appname>.app

This should solve this issue for any version
