Qlik NPrinting QlikEntity reports are exported to CSV with UTF-8 BOM encoding. Earlier versions of Qlik NPrinting used UTF-8.

This change may impact integration with third-party systems.

Environment

Qlik NPrinting February 2021 and later
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows
QlikView

Resolution

The change was introduced in February 2021 (OP-9779), but has been reverted for Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows.

Fix Version (Qlik Sense):

Qlik NPrinting  February 2021 SR1 and any later versions

After upgrading Qlik NPrinting, reports coming from a Qlik Sense connection will be encoded using UTF-8.

Workaround (QlikView):

This is working as intended for QlikView. If UTF-8 encoding is needed, change the resulting report manually in a third-party tool such as Notepad++.

Cause

Product Defect ID: OP-9981
