Q&A - Extending Qlik Sense Enterprise with NPrinting On-Demand Submitted questions Q:Is it possible to install Qlik Sense and NPrinting on same server in version April 2019 A:We do not support Qlik Sense and Qlik NPrinting being installed on the same server mainly due to Certificate issues and RAM / Memory considerations. Please install the Qlik Applications on separate Physical / Virtual Servers.
Q: Is it possible to use Qlik Sense Nprinting with QlikView 11.20 A:The Qlik Sense On Demand Reporting Extension is only used with Qlik Sense. If you would like to use QlikView NPrinting On-Demand you would obtain that executable from the Download Center within the Support Portal.
Q: Do the users of Qlik Sense need access to NPrinting as well to run the reports? A: Yes, if users would like to run On-Demand Reports they must exist in both Qlik Sense and Qlik NPrinting with the proper permissions. (i.e. On-Demand Creation added to their User Roles).
Q: Why does my On Demand NPrinting extension not work with Internet Explorer (works with Chrome) A: Try running the DEV Tools for Internet Explorer and see what error message you are receiving? There could be several different causes, but without the exact error message it’s hard to decipher. For assistance please register a case with Qlik Support.
Q: Can NPrinting be installed on a Server running MS SQL? A: We do recommend that Qlik NPrinting is installed on its own server, this is due to Port Conflicts with other applications
Q: How do you remedy the situation where there is a selection that is not in the NPrinting file? A: Always check the Qlik NPrinting Filters to ensure that they exist in the Qlik Sense Selection. Q: 3rd party extensions not being supported. We notice that some are supported in NPrinting (Vizlib). Would these work with ODRG? A: At this time we can only support the Dashboard Bundle that is included with Qlik Sense November 2018 installations or later. This does not mean that those extensions will not work, however, if there are any issues Qlik Support would not be able to officially troubleshoot the problems found in the 3rd party extensions.
