NPrinting SAML with ADFS login failure and how to resolve it

SAML authentication button in the NPrinting Web Console is not working and generating a login failure in the NPrinting Web Engine log:

 

 

 

SAML login failed, invalid credentials for domain name serverunit\User.One@qlik.com
Login called for user.one@qlik.com

 

 

 

Environment

  • NPrinting - All Supported Versions

 

Cause: 

  • The AWFS integration is configured for case sensitivity

 

Solution

  • Ensure that the credentials entered for the NPrinting user account accessing ADFS login is entered 'case sensitive' in the NPrinting domain account field. The NPrinting domain account field must contain the Active Directory domain user account case used

For example

  • If the Active Directory account is created as User.One@qlik.com or qlik\UserOne
  • You currently have "qlik\user.one" in the user's NPrinting domain account field however
  • For this to work, respect the case use with Active Directory "qlik\UserOne" in the NPrinting Domain Account field
