When opening Qlik Alerting Admin tab is missing.
Environment
- Qlik Alerting all versions.
Resolution
- Make sure that the user has admin rights. You can use the following query to verify what users have admin rights:
- Open MongoDB Compass
- Connect to the Server
- Look for QlikAlerting db
- Find the users table (click in the three dots icon), select "Open in New Tab"
- A window will open that show the users, users with admin set to true are those that have admin rights. admin:true.
- Verify that you are providing domain/user (the User directory and user id can be taken from the Qlik Sense QMC).
Cause
Users can login using their username, domain/user or email account. When the username and email of the admin user is the same as the email from other non admin user (coming from different user directories). When the user tries to log in Qlik Alerting takes the first coincidence, which could be the non-admin, so it is necessary to specify with the one that is unique to the admin user (domain/user is always unique).
